The Water Management Technical Review Team InformationPhase II: Currently in progress |
Watershed Management Initiative Monitoring Project
The Walla Walla Basin Watershed Council is leading the monitoring, assessment and aquifer recharge testing components of the Watershed Management Initiative program. The council was uniquely positioned from its years of similar work in Oregon portion of the basin (2001 to present, OWEB and EPA funded) and is now leading a bi-state assessment of surface and groundwater resources in the Walla Walla basin. The project seeks to collect and disseminate information about water resources in the basin in order to inform and guide bistate management of the system. A local and regional team of water, fisheries and policy experts have been assembled (WMI Technical Review Team) to ensure that the very best most cutting-edge science and analysis techniques are implemented during this projects development. This bistate program started in 2005 and is currently in Phase II of development. For more information about the program please refer to the specific project phases and information listed below or contact the WWBWC staff directly at: 541-938-2170 or Bob Bower, Project Lead at Bob.Bower@wwbwc.org |
