Sent: Friday, May 03, 2002 8:02 AM Subject: Re: SPRING CONFLUENCE (April 30, May 1-2 in Walla Walla) I am greatly impressed by the process and energy of the Spring Confluence and the emerging Watershed Alliance, and congratulate everyone connected with these efforts. At the closing gathering, people were encouraged to offer their personal commitments to the future work. I will commit to participating with the board of the Alliance and the conveners of the Confluence in the search for ways to connect the democratic and creative processes of the Confluence with the practical implementation and action role of the Alliance in order to enhance and integrate the excellent efforts of both. I look forward to opportunities to continue the useful discussions toward that end begun at the Spring Confluence.
