CALL TO ACTION SPRING WATERSHED CONFLUENCE April 30 and May 1-2 Cordiner Hall Lobby (at Whitman College at corner of Park and Boyer) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ April 30 from 6-9 pm, Dinner & Dialogue -- $12 May 1-2 from 9am-5pm, Open Space Meetings -- $7 each day for snacks -- lunch is on your own ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PURPOSE We will continue our ongoing citizen-led effort to restore the culture, ecology and economy of our watershed community. At our Winter Confluence, Congressman George Nethercutt joined our circle, listened to our ideas, and welcomed us to generate a collaborative plan of action that he could take to Congress. We gather now to check our progress toward this end and share answers to our Convening Question: *What solutions are YOU growing that will restore our culture, ecology and economy?* PRINCIPLES We self-organize our agenda around clearly defined problems or questions. Our actions are grounded in the following principles: - Be responsible (you are the authority) - Be open and inclusive (practice listening to everyone) - Respect and trust people (the right people will come) - Always keep learning and adapting - Seek wisdom and world-class solutions - Act on behalf of people seven generations from now ALL ARE WELCOME This invitation is open to ALL who have a stake in the future of our watershed community and are committed to these principles.
