On December 22, 2004, the NWPC Council released the (revised) plan for public review to accept comments (due 1/31/05) before the plan is adopted to guide BPA funding in the basin.
A public hearing has been scheduled for January 12, 2005, at 6:30 p.m. at: Quality Inn & Suites, Riverboat Room, 700 Port Drive, Clarkston, WA (MapQuest Directions)

review the The Walla Walla Subbasin Planning Strategy Document for aquatic species entitled "Walla Walla Subbasin Aquatic Working Hypotheses, Objectives and Strategies" was developed with community input at this Citizen Workshop - as of 3/23/04 (79KB, PDF). These strategies will be incorporated into the draft Subbasin Management Plan. Public Meeting to
review the The purpose of this meeting is to review and revise the Walla Walla Subbasin Terrestrial Wildlife Management Plan. Note - this meeting is focusing on terrestrial wildlife and their habitats. WDFW staff will be presenting the preliminary working hypotheses, objectives, and strategies for terrestrial wildlife, including brief discussion of the linkages between the aquatic and terrestrial components of the plan. This document is not yet ready for distribution. However, a draft from the Tucannon (1.1MB, PDF) is provided as an example. This document was developed by WDFW. Developed in the same format, the Walla Walla Terrestrial Management Plan document will have very similar hypotheses, objectives, and strategies, including a discussion of strategies to manage elk & deer damage on private agricultural land.
