The Ecosystems Diagnostics and Treatment
(EDT) model is a tool used by subbasin planners to evaluate and compare the
effects of watershed protection and restoration strategies in terms of various
aquatic species such as bull trout and steelhead. The EDT method was designed
to provide a practical, science-based approach for developing and implementing
watershed plans, providing decision makers with the technical information needed
to achieve their goals. The model describes how the fish would rate conditions
in a stream based on our scientific understanding of their needs. EDT will
summarize and prioritize historic and current conditions from the information
fed in. For information on how to use it, see the EDT site: www.mobrand.com/MBI/edt.html Click here to download Walla Walla Subbasin datasets for the EDT Stream Reach Editor. Workshops already held about EDT: The general public is
invited to attend a The purpose of the workshop is to introduce the EDT modeling process to the public and establish a common vision for the subbasin management plan. The subcontractor MoBrand will be presenting the EDT introduction and the Subbasin Planning (bi-state) Team will be conducting the visioning process. It is expected that technical people from both sides of the state line will attend to provide technical input and be involved in the visioning process. NEPA scoping for the HCP process will also be conducted. Directions to the Washington Department of Transportation Building can be found on Yahoo Maps. The
general public is also invited to attend a This is a review of the information pulled together so far for the Assessment and Inventory portions of the subbasin plan. Directions to the Fairgrounds can be found on Yahoo Maps. The draft wildlife assessment document relevant to this workshop is posted on the NWPCC Public File Exchange. The
general public is invited to attend a This meeting is a presentation of the EDT model results, public comments/discussion/questions and answers regarding the model results, and discussion of how the EDT model will be used to support development of the subbasin management plan. Attendees will learn about the EDT model and its reach-specific recommendations for the Walla Walla Subbasin. Directions to the Washington Department of Transportation Building can be found on Yahoo Maps. The draft documents relevant to this workshop are posted on the NWPCC Public File Exchange. Please note that this meeting was rescheduled from November 19. Background information about the Subbasin Planning process can be found on this page.
