The Umatilla County Natural Resources
Steering Committee (NRSC) is requesting proposals for the FY07 Title II and
Title III grants. NRSC is a natural resources advisory group that provides
recommendations to the Umatilla County Commissioners on various issues,
including reviewing grants proposed for Title II and Title III funding. Title II
and Title II grant funds refer to Federal funds that are made available to the
counties with National Forest timber lands to help offset the reduction in
forest product receipts. A portion of these funds must be spent on natural
resource related projects. Approximately $134,000 is available in the Title II
program and $70,000 in the Title III program this year. This notice pertains to two separate and distinct grant Request For Proposals. Below are a few facts and requirements about these grants.
